Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data OnlyVision collects and why. It is a general-purpose template and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied on for compliance with laws such as GDPR, CCPA, or others that may apply to your operation.

1. Data we collect

  • Consent choices. When you interact with our cookie banner, we record your choice (necessary/analytics/advertising) tied to a hashed session identifier, not your raw IP address.
  • View / rate-limit signals. To stop obvious view-count abuse and API abuse, we temporarily store an HMAC hash of your IP address — never the IP itself — associated with a video or endpoint, for a short window before it is purged.
  • Aggregate analytics events (page views, searches, category views), only recorded if you consent to analytics cookies, and only tied to a hashed session identifier.
  • Content reports. If you submit a content-removal report, we store the URL, reason, optional description, and optional email you provide so we can process it.
  • Admin accounts. Site administrators' email and a hashed password (never the plaintext password) for authentication purposes.

2. What we don't do

  • We do not store raw IP addresses long-term.
  • We do not run analytics or advertising cookies before you consent, where consent is required.
  • We do not sell personal data.

3. Third-party embeds

Video playback happens through third-party embed players (e.g. TubeCorporate). When you play a video, your browser communicates directly with that third party, which has its own privacy practices independent of ours. Review the relevant provider's policy for details on what they collect.

5. Data retention

View-throttling records are purged automatically after a short retention window (default 30 days). Aggregate analytics events are purged after 90 days.
